Tara Hawes

Tara teaches a gentle yoga style which concentrates on the breath and alignment of the spine with postures that are modified for each student’s needs. Her aim is to help students find their own personal time for reflection and release in an increasingly busy world.

Tara’s personal yoga is a deeply healing practice based on awareness of breath, structure of pose and comfortable mobility, with a connection to mind and spirit that builds confidence in life.

For Tara, gentle yoga has helped her deal with a chronic back complaint, poor posture due to an Achilles injury and a life-saving operation. Mentally and emotionally, Tara sees yoga as an opportunity to feel supported and develop a better understanding of ourselves and of life in general.

Tara lives in Tring with her husband, two young girls, crazy Labrador and other animals. She runs a business from home as a personal assistant for some truly remarkable people, who keep her inspired and close to the heart of life and its demands.

Tara holds a diploma with The British Wheel of Yoga, having completed her 500-hour sadhana mala yoga teacher training in 2013, as well as her art of individual teaching and yoga therapy course in 2015.
