Reiki is an ancient healing method that gently yet powerfully restores balance to the body and mind.

Reiki comes from the Japanese words ‘rei’ (universal life) and ‘ki’ (energy).  It’s the energy that flows through everything and is at the core of your health, spirit and wellbeing.

Physically, reiki can help to relieve pain, improve circulation, ease insomnia, boost the immune system and settle the nervous system. Emotionally, it may help you move forward and release any anger or hurt. Mentally, reiki can bring a sense of calm, clarity and positive thinking, and is a great relaxation tool for anxiety, depression and everyday stress.

Vicki discovered reiki in 2010, when looking for a nourishing therapy to help her through a difficult time in her life.

A regular yogi for many years, Vicki finds that yoga and reiki complement each other in their power to move energy more freely. Vicki completed her Usui Reiki I training in 2015 and Seichem Reiki levels I and II in 2016.

During a reiki session, Vicki will place her hands at various chakras (energy centres) on your body to enable the channeling of healing energy. You’ll simply lie down and relax; you may even fall asleep. Afterwards, you’ll feel calm and at peace, with a balancing energy that can last for many hours, even days.
