Rachel Richards

Like many people, Rachel first looked to yoga as a way to keep fit, build stamina and increase flexibility. Then four years ago things changed. Life had a lot to say and yoga was the clearest voice in the room. Today, Rachel teaches both vinyasa flow and restorative yoga with that same clear, calm voice – with an open heart and a little humour too!

On hearing the yoga calling, Rachel completed her first year of training with The British Wheel of Yoga and has more recently trained at Tri Yoga London under Mimi Kuo Deemer and Jean Hall.

Rachel is especially keen to share the benefits of restorative yoga, where you give yourself the rare but important task of doing nothing. In her class, she’ll guide you through various restorative poses to de-stress the mind and body. It’s a chance for your parasympathetic nervous system to engage, which then allows the inner systems of the body to reboot and renew. It’s a nurturing practice in which your body is supported by props to leave you feeling centred, present and relaxed.
