BAY YOGA STUDIO

My first career I trained and qualified as an Arborist/Tree Surgeon. My hobbies are boxing, Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu, which are all very physical experiences. To support myself in this lifestyle I needed a form of strength and recovery to help, that was when I discovered the world of Pilates.

I became so passionate about the practice of Pilates and was amazed at how much it helped me recover from injuries, but also in finding a calmer head space with the use of combined movement and breath work. I went on to study it at APPI health group to become a teacher of Matwork and Equipment in my hope to help others.

My training is physio based Pilates which enables me to break down the exercises for any body’s ability and use it as a form of rehabilitation.
I believe with a calm focused flow of Pilates exercises and breathing, anybody can achieve overall strength and co-ordination with a focus on core strength, mobility, suppleness and balance.

Pilates has a unique focus of working to correct muscular imbalances which ensures the body is moving efficiently and without pain. I am very interested in helping people overcome specific challenges, whether that be old injuries, weaknesses or rehabilitation from recent problems.

I aim for my students to leave feeling grounded and aware of their body’s, with the confidence and freedom to move with strength and purpose.”
