Guided Ashtanga Yoga, Primary Series with Cathy

Sunday 20th October, 4 – 5.30pm

The primary series of Ashtanga yoga is a precise sequence of postures, linked together with vinyasa sequences.  In this workshop, Cathy will guide you through the whole sequence, offering modifications and tips on alignment, breath and bandha.

If you are an Ashtanga Mysore practitioner, you may find it all too easy to take too few, or too many breaths in certain poses.  In this workshop, we will be using the breath count of the primary series to help us keep to a steady rhythm and pace, with the intention of ironing out our need to “faff”, hopefully!

Suitable for all Ashtanga primary series practitioners and experienced vinyasa yoga practitioners.
