This 2 day training will include:

The practitioner will be able to demonstrate verbally and practically the
following by the end of the session:
1. Teachers should be made aware of: (a) health and safety issues (b) risk
assessment (c) the need for a disclaimer at the outset of the session.
2. appropriate assists and use of props for a short sequence of basic warm ups
and asanas.
3. assists, adjustments and use of props for all the components of Surya
Namaskara A and B.
4. adjustments and assists for numerous standing, twisting, forward bending,
backhanding and inverted postures.
5. An introduction to the use of cakras during adjustments

About Stewart Gilchrist
Stewart Gilchrist is a senior registered yoga teacher known in London and internationally for his popular, innovative, authentic dynamic classes. He infuses his high energy and challenging teachings with yogic knowledge, as well as his unique charisma, politics and humour. His classes include an emphasis on breath, vinyasa and philosophy with physical adjustments. Stewart applies the original teachings of yoga to the modern world to create thought-provoking classes.
Having studied both aṣṭāṅga and Jivamukti Yogas since the late 1990s, Stewart’s sādhanā led him to train all over the world with teachers who have had a profound effect on his unique style of teaching.
Stewart has a Masters Degree in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from SOAS University London. He is currently a PhD candidate at SOAS in yoga related research
