Saturday 23rd July, 2 – 4pm
Are you curious about what Ashtanga is? OR, are you wanting to return to your Ashtanga practice but would like to refresh your understanding of the fundamentals? If so, this workshop is for you.
Jayne will guide you through all you need to know in starting your practice in a playful, inclusive and supportive workshop. An Ashtanga practice can help with cardiovascular fitness and the development of core strength, improved flexibility, feelings of wellbeing and the ability to focus.
Jayne will start at the beginning with Sun salutations and the first of the standing sequences of Primary series providing plenty of opportunities to find where each of these poses works best for you. We will finish with the finishing sequence, which provides opportunities for deep rest and restoration. There will be plenty of time for questions and to experience what makes this practice so special.
No need for any equipment or special clothing, just wear something that you can move easily and comfortably in. We have mats and props at the studio so just bring yourself and take the first step on this exciting journey to finding out why this is more than just exercise!
