Vinyasa yoga - Dynamic

Is it for you?

Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga, with a fairly fast pace and flow.

Instead of performing individual exercises with pauses in between, each posture is linked in synchronisation with the inhale and exhale of breath.

This creates a build-up of body heat, which helps to loosen the muscles. It means you can go deeper into a stretch than if you were doing the postures in a more traditional way.

Vinyasa is sometimes called ‘flow’ yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together, becoming almost like a dance.

The benefits

Vinyasa yoga can make the body more supple and strong. It can also help calm the mind and improve your overall health and wellbeing.

When are the classes?

We have several weekly vinyasa flow classes on Sunday mornings at 10.30am and Wednesday evenings at 6pm with Charli; Tuesday lunchtimes at 1.15pm with Suzy; and Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm with Lorraine.

Check out the timetable page to book onto an upcoming course, buy a class card, drop-in or try a taster if you are new for just £5.

Suzy also teaches Sunday workshops every month, so visit the workshops page to book on today.
